Description
Originating in the Mediterranean region, the leaves of the Rosemary shrub have been valued for thousands of years for their medicinal use as a tea and as a flavoring agent in stews and soup. Medical studies have shown that Rosemary tea contains carnosic acid, a potent antioxidant which may help promote cognitive function, and help protect the body from heart disease. Rosemary can also help condition the digestive system, and is approved as a treatment for dyspepsia by the German Commission E, an official government health agency.
